The beginning of my photography journey.
My journey into photography started by simply getting out and shooting. I’ve always had a love for photography, but as a stubborn 18-year-old fresh out of college, I pushed aside everything creative I loved and went straight into working and my job was completely unrelated. My weekends would regularly consist of going out out, enjoying my youth, listening to house music, and going to festivals - the same music I grew up with through my parents and throughout my childhood.
My passion for photography never went away though, I began experimenting around Manchester, taking my camera with me and paying attention to what caught my eye. I found myself instantly drawn to bright lights in low-light settings, movement and atmosphere. Combined with my love for house music and festivals, it felt natural to jump straight into the world of event photography and see where it could take me.
I’m still navigating the 9-5 lifestyle now, ten years later as a 28-year-old, in a job I don’t really love but photography has become a space where I can fully explore my creativity. It’s never been about having a fixed style straight away, but about learning through doing and understanding what I’m naturally drawn to. I love experimenting with lighting, angles, and composition, and I hope you’ll embark on this journey with me. Let’s see where it takes us 🪩🕺📸
