The Photography Show – 17.03.26

I went to The Photography Show in Birmingham on the 17th March, and it honestly felt like such a good reminder of why I’ve started this journey. Being surrounded by so many creatives, different styles and ways of shooting was really inspiring, and it pushed me to step outside of what I usually do.

While I was there, I spent some time capturing a model using some of the lighting setups, and it gave me the chance to experiment in a completely different way. It was more controlled than the environments I’m used to, but still let me play around with light, colour and mood, which is something I’ve really been enjoying exploring lately. It felt more like creating something intentionally, rather than just documenting what was happening.

It also made me realise how much I want to keep developing this side of my photography alongside events. Trying something different, pushing myself creatively and seeing what I’m capable of has been a big part of this journey so far, and this day definitely added to that.
